Power and utility
Oncor
Oncor is the regulated utility that owns and runs the poles, wires and meters that deliver power to much of North Texas.
Oncor says it is the largest energy delivery company in Texas and a regulated transmission and distribution utility. Its network delivers electricity from power generation facilities to customers through transmission and distribution lines. It does not sell the electricity itself.
Coppell's city page explains that the delivery utility maintains the poles and wires, handles service outages and reads your meter. Other utilities, such as CoServ, serve parts of the area. See meter base, ERCOT and panel upgrade with Oncor.
