Wiring and circuits
CSST bonding
CSST bonding is a wire connection that ties gas tubing to the home's electrical grounding system so lightning energy has a safe path.
The City of Rockwall says CSST may need to be bonded to the electrical service grounding electrode system if it has not already been. The goal is to reduce damage from lightning arcing on thin-walled gas tubing. See CSST and grounding electrode.
If you are unsure whether your system is bonded, Rockwall says to contact a licensed electrician. Do not try this yourself. Bonding is part of bonding and grounding work. See residential electrician.
