Wiring and circuits
CSST
CSST is corrugated stainless steel tubing, a flexible gas line used inside many homes that can be damaged by lightning energy.
CSST is a flexible gas line material, often yellow or black, that runs from a manifold to gas appliances. The City of Rockwall notes it has shown itself to be vulnerable to electrical insult due to arcing that can occur during a lightning event. In arcing, heat is created, which can melt gas lines.
That is why bonding matters. See CSST bonding and bonding. A licensed plumber can confirm whether you have CSST, and a licensed electrician checks the electrical bond. See residential electrician.
