NFPA 70E

NFPA 70E is the standard for electrical safety in the workplace, covering safe work practices around energized equipment.

NFPA says organizations often use NFPA 70E to comply with OSHA regulations, minimize workplace injuries and maintain safer operations. A core part is the electrical safety program, a documented system designed to help protect employees from electrical hazards in the workplace.

NFPA 70E is about people doing electrical work. The NEC is about how installations are built, and NFPA 70B is about upkeep. Employers set their own program with qualified workers. See commercial electrician.
