Relamp
To relamp is to replace the lamps (bulbs) in a fixture or building, either all at once on a schedule or one at a time as they fail.
The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory describes two methods: group relamping on a set schedule, and spot relamping as each lamp fails. The method changes how well light levels hold up over time, so the plan matters.
A relamp changes the lamp, not the fixture. A retrofit may change more. The lamp type must match the fixture, including any ballast. For large sites a planned relamp can cut repeat lift visits. See commercial electrician.
