# NFPA 70B

NFPA 70B is the standard for electrical equipment maintenance, covering planned upkeep of electrical systems in buildings and plants.

NFPA 70B, Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance, changed from a recommended practice to a standard. NFPA says this means maintenance is now required when NFPA 70B is being enforced.

It applies to electrical, electronic and communications systems and equipment and does not replace maker instructions.
