# Electrical inspection

An electrical inspection is a city check of finished electrical work against the adopted code.

Flower Mound's page says its building inspections division performs building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical inspections and requires compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances. An inspector compares the finished work with the code the city has adopted.

Cities schedule inspections through online portals. Coppell says all inspections should be scheduled through its Civic Access Portal.
